Words to remind.

After a series of previous fishery agreements with Morocco including the waters of Western Sahara (Africa last colony), the EU is committing a serious mistake in putting into force by voting in favour of such treaty that violates the International law on the non-self-governing-territories.

The EU member states do not recognize Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara, acting so, are simply obstructing the juridical status attributed to Western Sahara by the United Nations. Moreover, Western Sahara is on the UN Agenda of decolonization since 1963. Referring to the UN Secretary General Under-Secretary for legal affairs opinion 29 January 2002 and to the General Assembly Resolutions 1514 and 1541 adopted December 1960 and Articles 73 of the UN Charter which safeguards the natural resources of such territories, the EU is simply and lightheartedly hold up to ridicule these rules.

Yielding to their colonial fondness, and in order to commit a colonial act in Western Sahara, France and Spain have involved the EU member states in their insane adventure consisting in signing and initialing an agreement which is nothing but a part of the international brigandage and a spoliation which constitutes, with no doubt, a black page in the history of the EU.

We consider the conclusion of this agreement a vast venture of plundering, pillage, a gross injustice and flagrant violation to the international law.

We, the Saharawi people pay homage to the Swedish firm stand and position regarding this issue, the only country that stood bravely and courageously against such crime. A position that inspires dignity and honor for all the time.
